Jeff Lee Joins Distributive Networks Leadership Team
March 24, 2008
WASHINGTON, DC – Mobile content and platform provider Distributive Networks today announced the appointment of mobile executive Jeff Lee as its President. With Mr. Lee’s exceptional qualifications and more than a decade of mobile industry experience, Distributive Networks will be even better positioned to continue its record of growth and innovation moving forward.
Distributive Networks’ best-in-class mobile content products and its agile mobile messaging platform enable the company’s partners to capitalize upon intense user demand for informative and entertaining mobile-based interactions. In 2007, the company was named #2 of the Rising Stars on Deloitte’s annual Fast 500 Technology report and was selected as a Washingtonian magazine “Great Place to Work.” Most recently, the mobile messaging solution that Distributive Networks provides to the Obama for America presidential campaign received the 2008 Golden Dot Award for Best Mobile/Text Messaging Campaign, awarded by the Institute for Politics, Democracy & the Internet, part of George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management.
In his role as President of Distributive Networks, Mr. Lee will guide the firm’s strategic planning, finance and operations. Prior to joining Distributive Networks, Mr. Lee spearheaded the North American roll-out for iO Global, a British Telecom company specializing in mobile/ converged content delivery. Until 2007, Mr. Lee served as CEO of the mobile content distributor and wireless solutions provider Proteus Inc., directing the company’s enterprise strategy and planning. During his tenure, Mr. Lee oversaw Proteus’s development of an elite roster of clients (including AT&T, Sprint, MasterCard, ABC, Discovery, HBO and Fox), its groundbreaking expansion into Latin America, and the sale of the company in 2006 to 2ergo Ltd. Before joining Proteus in 1999, Mr. Lee was a Senior Manager of Consulting Services for Ernst & Young. Mr. Lee’s thought leadership is frequently featured at wireless industry events and in the press (Business 2.0, Wired, Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, TechTV), and he is an active member of the Mobile Marketing Association.
Distributive Networks CEO Kevin Bertram said, “We couldn’t be happier to welcome Jeff to the Distributive Networks team. His expertise in corporate strategy, business development, finance, and operations management–all in the nascent mobile market–will be invaluable as Distributive Networks continues to build upon its remarkable successes to date. I am delighted that we will be able to benefit from Jeff’s talent, his vision, and his shared commitment to Distributive Networks’ core values.”
